Alice Stobart

Alice is a specialist in employment law with interestes in immigration law and public law who was welcomed as a new member of Westwater Advocates in June 2009.

She practised as a solicitor specialising in employment law with Maclay Murray & Spens before calling in 2007. She appears frequently in Employment Tribunals throughout the country and in the Sheriff Court and the Court of Session.

Recent appearances include Cannop and Others v Highland Council 2008 SLT 625 and MG v Secretary of State for the Home Department [2008] CSOH 115.

Alice tutors on the Diploma in Legal Practice and the Professional Competence course at the University of Edinburgh and she delivers seminars on employment law to fellow members of the profession.
