Craig Allardice
Craig practised as a solicitor for seven years before calling to the bar in 1990. He has developed a wide-ranging civil litigation practice. He has a particular interest in commercial property matters including building disputes, arbitrations and planning matters. He previously tutored at Edinburgh University in Tax and Delict. He qualified as a mediator more than 15 years ago.
He is a very experienced Court of Session practitioner and has a special interest in all forms of reparation, including professional negligence. He has appeared in numerous Civil Jury Trials.
Throughout his practice, Craig has enjoyed several sabbaticals. His most recent was for a period of about two years when he worked for the London Information Network on Conflict Resolution and State Building, an organisation that was mainly focused on resolving the outstanding wars in the South Caucasus. He worked as an International Mediator and as a Representative to the European Institutiions. He also worked on projects assisting the Turkish Parliament with their negotiations for joining the EU and advising the North Cyprus government on constitutional and parliamentary reform.
He has accepted invitations to deliver lectures in Paris, Brussels, Dublin and Nicosia.
