Morag B Wise QC

Morag is a civil practitioner with particular expertise in all aspects of family law and, since April 2008, she has been sitting as a Temporary Court of Session Judge.

She has appeared in numerous reported cases over the years. Some examples are the following:

Morag delivers lectures in family law regularly, particularly in the area of financial provision on divorce. Her publications include Gloag & Henderson, 11th edition (Joint Editor), 12th edition (contributor), "Human Rights and Family Law" chapter in "A Practical Guide to Human Rights Law in Scotland" (edited by Lord Reed, 2001) and various articles and commentaries on family law matters. She retains an interest in professional negligence work, particularly where there is a family law content.

Morag also undertakes work as a qualified mediator and is involved in advocacy training. She is Chair of the Advocates Family Law Association and Chair of Family Law Arbitration Group Scotland (FLAGS).
