Neil MacDougall

Neil called to the bar in July 2011 after working for four years as a solicitor in the commercial sphere.

Neil completed his traineeship with McClure Naismith in Glasgow where he gained experience in litigation, commercial property and corporate departments. He was admitted as a solicitor in 2005 at which time he joined Dundas & Wilson where he worked as a commercial property solicitor. In 2008 Neil took up a position in the corporate department of Miller Samuel.

Neil graduated from Glasgow University. He tailored his degree to maximise his training in advocacy skills which included completion of a Trial Advocacy course in America as well as taking part in the Strasbourg Human Rights project.

Neil's commercial background makes him particularly well placed to advise on commercial matters but he is keen to establish a broad ranging civil practice. He has also advised on employment matters and has appeared in the Employment Tribunal.
