Vinit Khurana

Vinit Khurana qualified in medicine from Edinburgh University in 1988. He worked as a General Practitioner before returning to Edinburgh University to qualify in Law in 1995.

He called to the bar in 1999, since when his main areas of specialism have been professional negligence and regulatory work. He has been instructed for both defenders and pursuers as well as appearing at a number of Fatal Accident Inquiries. Vinit is currently a Standing Junior to the Scottish Ministers. He was reappointed in 2009 following an earlier term between 2005 and 2008.

From May 2006 until May 2009, Vinit was an Advocate Depute, prosecuting serious crime in the High Court on behalf of the Lord Advocate.
